ICAMA Reg. No.: PD20091755 Product Category: Herbicides A selective, post-emergence herbicide designed to effectively control annual broadleaf weeds in winter wheat fields and other cereal crops.
Key Features: 1. Selective Weed Control: Targets broadleaf weeds without harming cereal crops. 2. Systemic Action: Absorbed through foliage and roots, translocating throughout the plant to inhibit growth. 3. Low Application Rates: Effective at low dosages, reducing chemical load on the environment.
Detailed Description: This 10% Wettable Powder formulation contains tribenuron-methyl, a sulfonylurea herbicide known for its efficacy in controlling broadleaf weeds. Tribenuron-methyl acts by inhibiting the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS), also known as acetohydroxyacid synthase (AHAS). This enzyme is crucial for the biosynthesis of branched-chain amino acids, such as valine and isoleucine. Inhibition of ALS leads to the cessation of cell division and plant growth, ultimately causing weed death. Notably, monocotyledonous crops like wheat possess a natural tolerance to tribenuron-methyl, allowing for selective weed control. Registered Scope and Method of Use
Technical Application Requirements: 1. Timing: Apply between the 2-leaf and jointing stages of wheat growth, targeting weeds at the 2–4 leaf stage for optimal control. 2. Mixing: Accurately measure and mix the recommended amount of herbicide with water to ensure uniform application. 3. Application Technique: Ensure thorough coverage of weed foliage while minimizing drift to non-target plants. 4. Environmental Conditions: Apply during calm weather conditions to prevent drift and ensure effective coverage. 5. Safety Measures: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during mixing and application. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and prevent inhalation of spray mist. 6. Resistance Management: To delay herbicide resistance, rotate with herbicides having different modes of action and integrate with other weed management practices.
