Spinosad 5% + Abamectin-aminomethyl 1.8% SC is an eco-friendly, biopesticide-based formulation that provides dual-mode action for effective control of major pests in various crops. Abamectin-aminomethyl, a fermentation-derived macrocyclic lactone, targets GABA-gated chloride channels, disrupting neurotransmission and causing paralysis and death. Spinosad, a naturally derived biopesticide from Saccharopolyspora spinosa, acts on nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, overstimulating the insect nervous system and leading to rapid knockdown. With strong stomach and contact toxicity, this formulation ensures fast-acting and long-lasting control while minimizing resistance risks. As a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution, it offers low toxicity to beneficial insects, making it ideal for integrated pest management (IPM) programs in modern agriculture.

Technical Application Requirements:

1.      Early Application and Proper Dilution: Apply at the early larval stage of the diamondback moth in cabbage. Dilute the recommended dosage in 450–750 liters of water per hectare and spray evenly to ensure thorough coverage.

2.      Optimal Weather Conditions: Avoid application on windy days or when rain is anticipated to prevent wash-off and ensure maximum efficacy.

3.      Pre-Harvest Interval and Usage Limit: Observe a safety interval of 5 days before harvesting cabbage, with a maximum of one application per season.

4.      Resistance Management: Rotate with insecticides from different IRAC groups to delay resistance development and maintain long-term effectiveness.
