Detailed Description:

This emulsifiable concentrate formulation contains 2% abamectin and 20% carbosulfan, offering a potent combination for managing a variety of agricultural pests. Abamectin is a macrocyclic lactone derived from the soil bacterium Streptomyces avermitilis. It targets glutamate-gated chloride channels in invertebrate nerve and muscle cells, leading to increased chloride ion influx, hyperpolarization, paralysis, and eventual death of the pest. Carbosulfan is a carbamate insecticide that inhibits acetylcholinesterase (AChE), an enzyme essential for nerve function. By preventing AChE from breaking down acetylcholine, it causes continuous nerve impulse transmission, resulting in overstimulation, paralysis, and death of the pest. The combination of these two active ingredients provides a comprehensive approach to pest management, targeting multiple physiological pathways and reducing the likelihood of resistance development.

 

Effective Against:

·         Cotton:

    • Red  Spider Mites (Tetranychus cinnabarinus): Microscopic arachnids causing leaf discoloration, webbing, and defoliation.

    • Aphids (Aphis gossypii): Sap-sucking insects leading to distorted growth and potential virus transmission.

·         Rice:

    • Rice  Stem Borers (Scirpophaga incertulas): Larvae that bore into stems, causing dead hearts and whiteheads, leading to significant yield loss.

    • Brown Planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens): Insects that feed on phloem sap, causing hopper burn and transmitting viral diseases.

·         Vegetables:

    • Thrips (Thrips tabaci): Small insects causing silvery streaks and deformities on leaves and fruits.

    • Leafhoppers (Empoasca spp.): Pests that cause hopper burn, leading to leaf curling and stunted growth.

Technical Application Requirements:

1.      Timing: Initiate applications at the early onset of pest infestation for optimal results.

2.      Mixing: Use proper mixing techniques to ensure the product is fully and evenly dispersed in the spray solution.

3.      Application Technique: Utilize calibrated spraying equipment to achieve uniform coverage. Pay special attention to new growth and areas prone to pest colonization.

4.      Environmental Conditions: Avoid application during windy conditions or if rainfall is anticipated within 1 hour to prevent runoff and ensure maximum efficacy.

5.      Safety Measures: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during mixing and application. Avoid inhalation and contact with skin or eyes. Do not eat, drink, or smoke during application. Wash hands and exposed skin thoroughly after handling.

6.      Re-entry Interval: Do not allow entry into treated areas for at least 24 hours post-application without proper protective clothing.

7.      Resistance Management: To prevent the development of resistance, rotate with insecticides having different modes of action and avoid consecutive applications of the same product.
