Description
ICAMA Reg. No.: PD20241733 Product Category: Insecticides A powerful miticidal formulation providing comprehensive control of citrus red mites to ensure healthy citrus orchards.
Key Features: 1. Dual-Action Miticide: Integrates bifenazate and etoxazole to target multiple life stages of mites, enhancing efficacy and reducing resistance development. 2. Rapid and Long-Lasting Control: Bifenazate offers swift knockdown of adult mites, while etoxazole disrupts mite development, providing extended protection. 3. Selective and Safe: Exhibits minimal impact on beneficial insects and predatory mites, promoting integrated pest management (IPM) practices.
Detailed Description: This 45% Bifenazate·Etoxazole SC is a synergistic miticide designed for effective management of citrus red mites (Panonychus citri). Bifenazate, constituting 30% of the formulation, acts as a mitochondrial electron transport inhibitor, specifically targeting the Qo site of complex III within the mite's mitochondria. This disruption halts ATP production, leading to rapid paralysis and mortality in adult mites. Etoxazole, making up 15% of the formulation, functions as a chitin synthesis inhibitor. It impedes the formation of chitin, a vital component of the mite's exoskeleton, thereby preventing proper molting and development of eggs and immature stages. The combination of these two active ingredients ensures comprehensive control by affecting both adult mites and their progeny, leading to a significant reduction in mite populations and sustained protection of citrus crops.
Effective Against: · Citrus Red Mite (Panonychus citri): A prevalent pest in citrus orchards, causing leaf discoloration, reduced photosynthesis, and potential defoliation, ultimately impacting fruit yield and quality. · Two-Spotted Spider Mite (Tetranychus urticae): A highly polyphagous pest affecting a wide range of crops, leading to leaf stippling, webbing, and potential crop loss. · European Red Mite (Panonychus ulmi): Commonly infests apple and pear orchards, causing leaf bronzing and premature leaf drop, which can reduce fruit quality and yield. · Broad Mite (Polyphagotarsonemus latus): Infests various crops, including peppers and tomatoes, leading to distorted growth and reduced yield. · Rust Mite (Aceria anthocoptes): Affects various fruit crops, causing russeting and bronzing of fruit surfaces, impacting marketability. Registered Scope and Method of Use
Technical Application Requirements: 1. Application Timing: Apply at the onset of citrus red mite infestation to achieve optimal control. 2. Dilution and Spraying: Prepare a solution with an 8000–10000× dilution rate and apply uniformly to the foliage, ensuring thorough coverage. 3. Environmental Conditions: Avoid application during windy conditions or if rainfall is expected within one hour to prevent reduced efficacy. 4. Pre-Harvest Interval: Observe a safety interval of 20 days between the last application and harvest to ensure compliance with residue regulations. 5. Usage Frequency: Limit to one application per growing season to minimize the risk of resistance development.
