Descriptions
ICAMA Reg. No. PD20230723 Product Category: Insecticide A synergistic formulation providing effective control over aphids, whiteflies, and various lepidopteran larvae across multiple crops.
Key Features: 1. Dual Active Ingredients: Merges the unique antifeedant action of flonicamid with the rapid contact efficacy of deltamethrin for comprehensive pest management. 2. Broad-Spectrum Control: Targets multiple pests affecting diverse crops, enhancing crop protection and yield. 3. Multiple Modes of Action: Combines two distinct mechanisms, reducing the risk of resistance development in pest populations.
Detailed Description: This 20% Suspension Concentrate formulation comprises 15% flonicamid and 5% deltamethrin, delivering a potent solution against various agricultural pests. Flonicamid is a novel pyridinecarboxamide insecticide that acts primarily as an antifeedant. It disrupts the feeding behavior of piercing-sucking insects by inhibiting their stylet penetration into plant tissues, leading to starvation and death. This action is rapid, with feeding cessation occurring within 30 minutes of exposure. Deltamethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide that affects the nervous system by delaying the closing of voltage-gated sodium channels, resulting in prolonged nerve excitation, paralysis, and death. The combination of these two active ingredients ensures both rapid knockdown and extended residual control of a broad spectrum of pests.
Effective Against: · Cabbage Aphid (Brevicoryne brassicae): Sucks sap from cabbage leaves, leading to curling, yellowing, and stunted growth. · Greenhouse Whitefly (Trialeurodes vaporariorum): Feeds on various vegetable crops, causing yellowing and stunted growth. · Diamondback Moth (Plutella xylostella): Larvae feed on cruciferous vegetables, creating holes in leaves and affecting marketability. · Cotton Bollworm (Helicoverpa armigera): Feeds on cotton bolls, resulting in significant yield losses.
Registered Scope and Method of Use
Technical Application Requirements: 1. Timing: Apply at the early onset of pest infestation for optimal control. 2. Mixing: Prepare the spray solution by accurately measuring and mixing the recommended amount of product with water, ensuring thorough agitation for uniform distribution. 3. Application Technique: Use calibrated spraying equipment to achieve even coverage. Pay special attention to the undersides of leaves where pests often reside. 4. Environmental Conditions: Avoid application during windy conditions or if rainfall is expected within 1 hour to prevent runoff and ensure maximum efficacy. 5. Safety Measures: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during mixing and application. Avoid inhalation and contact with skin or eyes. Do not eat, drink, or smoke during application. Wash hands and exposed skin thoroughly after handling. 6. Resistance Management: To prevent the development of resistance, rotate with insecticides having different modes of action and avoid consecutive applications of the same product.
