ICAMA Reg. No. PD20183459 Product Category: Fungicides
A systemic fungicide designed to effectively control a broad spectrum of fungal diseases across various crops, including ring rot, scab, powdery mildew, and gray mold.
Key Features: 1. Systemic Protection: Absorbed by plant roots and foliage, providing internal defense against pathogenic fungi. 2. Dual Action: Offers both protective and curative properties, making it versatile for different stages of disease development. 3. Broad-Spectrum Control: Effective against multiple fungal pathogens affecting diverse crops.
Detailed Description: This water-dispersible granule formulation contains 80% thiophanate-methyl, a benzimidazole-class fungicide renowned for its broad-spectrum activity. Thiophanate-methyl functions by inhibiting β-tubulin assembly during mitosis, disrupting microtubule formation, and thereby preventing fungal cell division. Upon application, it is metabolized into carbendazim, the active moiety responsible for its antifungal activity. Its systemic nature allows for translocation within the plant, ensuring comprehensive protection. The fungicide exhibits both preventive and curative actions, making it effective when applied before or at the onset of disease symptoms.
Effective Against: · Apple Trees:
· Grapevines
· Strawberries
· Ornamental Plants
Registered Scope and Method of Use
Technical Application Requirements: 1. Timing: For optimal results, initiate applications preventatively or at the early onset of disease symptoms. 2. Mixing: Utilize the two-step dilution method to ensure the product is fully and evenly dispersed in the spray solution. 3. Application Technique: Use calibrated spraying equipment to achieve uniform coverage. Pay special attention to new growth and areas prone to infection. 4. Environmental Conditions: Avoid application during windy conditions or if rainfall is anticipated within 1 hour to prevent runoff and ensure maximum efficacy. 5. Safety Measures: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during mixing and application. Avoid inhalation and contact with skin or eyes. Do not eat, drink, or smoke during application. Wash hands and exposed skin thoroughly after handling. 6. Resistance Management: To prevent the development of resistant fungal strains, rotate with fungicides having different modes of action and avoid consecutive applications of thiophanate-methyl. |
